DORSET BAROQUE PLAYERS

Dorset Baroque Players is an informal network of musicians in and around Dorset who like to play baroque music. We are all experienced musicians although some of us are relatively new to playing baroque music. Ideally we play using baroque instruments (modern copies) although some string players use modern instruments but set up with gut strings.Typically we play chamber music with a harpsichord and cello to provide continuo accompaniment.

The purpose of this website is to allow musicians to find others and get together to play, whether on an ad hoc basis or regularly, for domestic music making or for a concert.
